“I think that one of our greatest responsibilities as theater providers,” asserts Angelina Fiordellisi, “is to sensitize the tribe . . . deepening our primal connections, our primal needs, our primal impulses and what Shakespeare calls ‘holding the mirror up to society’.” This poignant insight is particularly significant since the tragic course of events this past week in Newtown, Connecticut.

I keep checking back to this site to see how’s it going. I really want to support your cause here and get more support for the arts. I know everyone I’ve met so far has not given me any negative response to the arts. Everyone loves the arts and music as I am being told over and over. It is a core value in our society and it should never be taken away from children or adults who want to learn. Great work Fran! The way I see it, since schools are cutting the arts, then it’s up to us to provide it. We can either complain or we can act! Drama Kids International now has 60 offices in the USA which go into schools when the bell rings at the end of the day and provides drama when the schools can’t. Parents and kids want this. We need more offices and more local owners. Dramakids.com
