Arts cutbacks hurt state, but only rural areas cry foul

It’s like a Sherlock Holmes mystery that was solved because of the dog that did not bark.  In this case, it’s the Johnson County arts groups that have not barked, not even growled.Where is the outrage over Gov. Sam Brownback’s veto last year of $700,000 in state aid to the Kansas Arts Commission? Why have we not heard of arts programs being shut down, with the KAC going out of business? Why the eerie quiet?
